Running now on polarized deuterium. CCR needed to adjust vertical
steering in target region slightly (due to coil bolt
tightening?). Deadtime is 15-20%, so we will go to 150mA fill tomorrow
morning. There is a concern of increasing the dumped beam current
(problems with the flip targets we dump on) -- may install a different beam
dump during shutdown.
BLAST power supply still trips at about 6600A when ramping. More
investigations with Bruker to come.
Tomorrow Bill will check the Compton detector and laser tomorrow, and then
operations will take the beam Friday during the day to optimize the
Compton/experiment beam tune.
Plan is to run polarized deuterium until Monday, then switch to empty target.
